Every day in the UK 28 people of all ages are diagnosed with leukaemia – and almost half of those don’t survive beyond five years. For acute myeloid leukaemia, the most common type of acute leukaemia in adults, the survival rate is just 22%.
Leukaemia UK works to stop leukaemia devastating lives by funding innovative research to discover better, kinder treatments for the disease; by tirelessly campaigning for change; and by raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of leukaemia so more people are diagnosed earlier.
