Brake is a national road safety charity, founded in 1995, that exists to stop deaths, serious injuries and pollution on roads, and to care for families bereaved and injured in road crashes.
Every day, five people are killed on UK roads and another 24 are severely injured. We know that road crashes are devastating events for families, friends and the wider community. That’s why we are supporting Brake and its vital work campaigning for safer roads and helping every road victim get the support they need. Last year, Brake supported 1500 families, helping them cope with their trauma and grief and navigate the complex, unfamiliar procedures that often follow a road crash.
