After hearing the heartbreaking news that over £20,000 worth of tools were stolen from Aldingbourne Country Centre over Christmas, Scrap Car Comparison has decided to support the Aldingbourne Trust for the remainder of January. We’ll be raising money solely through donations from our customers to help the charity continue to provide opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
Founded by three parents in 1978 as the Aldingbourne Country Centre Charity, the Trust has grown significantly since being opened by the Duchess of Norfolk in September 1979, where it provides life-skills training, education and real-world opportunities for as many adults with learning disabilities as possible. Today, the Aldingbourne Trust provides a range of services for more than 1500 people with learning disabilities including autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and Down’s Syndrome as well as for people who also live with physical disabilities.
